The government is committed to delivering lightning-fast, reliable broadband to everyone in the UK and for hard to reach areas, the government is investing £5 billion to ensure places are not left behind. Hutton Henry and Station Town are part of this plan. However in order for it to go ahead we need as many people as possible to register for a voucher (see link below).
Durham County Council as the Principal Authority can only formally adopt the new name following local consultation.
If implemented, the new title would not affect any other aspect of the running of the Parish Council and all existing wards and elected members would remain as they are.
The Parish Council has launched a four-week consultation starting on Monday 2 March and closing on Sunday 29 March 2020.
